Friends of The Plaza

The Friends Of The Plaza is our supporters’ group, with members in the United Kingdom, Australia, Europe and the U.S.A.

could not survive without The Friends' dedicated contribution to repair and restoration work, staffing during performances, assisting with the operation of the box office and working as stage crew.

Everyone is invited to join The Friends of The Plaza and become involved in the operation of as Stockport’s principal entertainment venue.  Benefits include:

There are opportunities for working in all aspects of the theatre.  Volunteer ushers have a unique relationship with the patrons and an opportunity to see many shows.  Training courses are available for more specialist aspects of the theatre, back stage, sound and lighting, etc.
