VENUE TOURS
Guided tours of the Plaza
From the Carson Sisters through to Jimmy Carr, Judy Garland to Johnny Depp many of the greatest stage and screen stars of yesteryear and the modern day have appeared in person or on the silver screen here at Stockport’s 1932 Super Cinema and Variety Theatre since its doors first opened and here’s your chance to have a special guided tour getting a chance to see behind the scenes of this building of international significance.
Your tour host will explain the history of this gem in the northwests artistic crown and give your party the chance to see the areas usually hidden away including the backstage and projection room housing a rare Kalee 8 projector restored to its original condition and one of only a handful left in the world.
Groups of 10 or more
£6 per person – Guided tour
£10 per person – Tour and Tea – a delightful way of finishing your tour with tea, sandwich and individual scone served in our elegant tea rooms
